The 12th Annual Update for Primary Care Providers presented by The Mary Parkes Center for Asthma, Allergy and Pulmonary Care and the University of Rochester, on November 9th, 2006 at the RIT Inn and Conference Center in Rochester, NY. This conference is designed for primary care physicians, family physicians, internists, pulmonologists, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurse practioners, nurses, respiratory care practicioners, and other interested health care professionals. 
 
The University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuting medical education for physicians. This U of R designates 6.5 Category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award.
This activity has also been submitted to the NYS Nurses Association’s Council on continuing education for approval of contact hours.

This year’s highlights include:

The Open Airways for Schools Program was a fun way to learn how to control our Asthma. Asthma is not contagious. We can do lots of cool things even though we still have Asthma. Maybe someday we will grow up to find a cure for Asthma, but until then we can manage it.
